A complete re-roof was carried out on a residential property in Bracknell, Berkshire, bringing the roof up to current building control standards while improving long-term performance and energy efficiency. The project included a new warm deck flat roof system alongside re-tiling of the pitched roof areas.
L&E Leadwork & Roofing were appointed to undertake a full re-roof, replacing the existing roof coverings and upgrading the overall roof construction. The aim was to deliver a compliant, durable roofing system that would perform reliably while maintaining a traditional appearance in keeping with the surrounding area.

The existing roof had reached the end of its serviceable life and no longer met modern performance or insulation requirements. The client required a complete roof replacement that complied with current building regulations and incorporated improved thermal performance, particularly across the flat roof section.
The existing roof coverings were carefully stripped back to allow inspection of the underlying structure. Any necessary preparatory works were completed to ensure a sound base for the new roof build-up.
A warm deck system was installed to the flat roof area, with insulation positioned above the structural deck to improve thermal efficiency and reduce the risk of condensation. The roof was then finished with a single ply membrane, providing a clean, durable, and fully watertight finish designed for long-term performance.
The pitched roof sections were re-tiled using Marley Double Roman tiles in Antique Brown, selected to complement the property while delivering dependable weather protection. All junctions and details were completed to ensure the roof performed as a complete system.

The completed re-roof now meets current building control requirements and provides improved thermal performance across both pitched and flat roof areas. The new warm deck flat roof offers long-term durability, while the tiled roof retains a traditional appearance suited to the property’s location in Bracknell.
The client was left with a fully compliant roofing system designed to protect the property for many years to come.
