L&E Leadwork & Roofing were instructed to replace an existing flat roof at a property in Woodley, Berkshire. The works involved reboarding the roof to form correct falls, upgrading lead detailing, and installing a ResTec Flexitec 2020 GRP flat roofing system for long-term durability.
This project focused on improving the performance and longevity of an existing flat roof that required renewal. The scope included correcting drainage falls, installing new lead flashings, and finishing the roof with a high-quality GRP system suitable for long-term exposure.
The existing flat roof required replacement due to age and performance concerns. The client needed a robust, seamless flat roofing solution that addressed drainage properly and incorporated new lead detailing for reliable weather protection.
A clean finish and long-term reliability were key requirements for the project.
The roof was stripped back and reboarded to create correct falls, ensuring effective water runoff and reducing the risk of standing water. Once the substrate was properly prepared, a ResTec Flexitec 2020 GRP flat roofing system was installed to provide a seamless, durable waterproof finish.
New lead flashings were installed where required, and the roof was finished with a lead capping to provide neat detailing and additional long-term protection at exposed edges and junctions.
All works were carried out with a focus on correct preparation, detailing, and overall system performance.

The completed flat roof now benefits from improved drainage, upgraded lead detailing, and a seamless GRP finish designed for long-term performance. The ResTec system provides a durable, low-maintenance solution, while the new leadwork ensures clean detailing and reliable weather protection.
