Situated directly opposite Windsor Castle, this project demanded precision, heritage expertise, and strict adherence to conservation standards. The client required a lead specialist capable of following the correct procedures and meeting the high expectations that come with working on a listed building in such a prestigious location.
Listed buildings bring a unique set of challenges - from strict heritage regulations to the need for traditional craftsmanship. This property’s entrance canopy needed replacing with a solution that not only met modern durability standards but also respected its historic character. The work had to be carried out using the correct materials and methods to satisfy heritage officers and preserve the building’s status.
We fabricated and installed a Code 6 lead canopy, following Lead Sheet Association (LSA) guidelines to the letter. Every stage - from substrate preparation to bossing and welding - was carried out with the care and accuracy required for heritage work. This ensured:
✅ Heritage-compliant lead canopy installation
✅ Exceptional finish in keeping with the building’s style
✅ Durability and weather protection for years to come
✅ Work completed to recognised LSA and heritage standards
